Scandi Standard celebrates an all-time low number of lost time injuries
Scandi Standard is committed to creating a safe working environment for all its employees, and the long-term vision is that no employee should be injured at work. The first quarter of 2025 marks an important breakthrough with the lowest number of accidents leading to lost time ever. Proof that our everyday effort across the company is making significant difference.
The work to change the culture around workplace safety requires focus every day, for everyone. The last four years, we have worked together with the local teams and their health and safety specialists to make sure that we share best practice effectively and support each other, says Ida Ljungkvist, Sustainability Director at Scandi Standard
Scandi Standard has implemented several concrete measures to reduce the number of workplace injuries, including regular safety training and equipment upgrades to ensure the highest possible level of protection. Another important initiative is the introduction of safety procedures and protocols that ensure all employees follow best practices to avoid accidents. Additionally, Scandi Standards has an active incident reporting system, where each accident, big or small, is carefully documented and analyzed to identify root causes and improvement measures to prevent similar accidents from happening again.
Safety is everyone’s responsibility! With a focus on preventive measures and continuous improvement, we want to create an environment where everyone is safe in their daily work, says Ida Ljungkvist.

About the LTI numbers:
Scandi Standards regularly reports its LTI (Lost Time Injury) frequency rate both internally and in quarterly and annual reports. This rate is a key indicator of how effective safety work is within the company group and is also integrated into financial incentive structures and Scandi Standard’s financing. By being transparent with the LTIFR and encouraging open communication about safety issues, Scandi Standard strives to create a culture where safety always comes first.
